All Roads Lead to Pleasantville // 09.19.02
Ah... no work at all today. How lovely. I was supposed to do something with my friend Erika from work, but not so much. I called her and all, but never heard back. I assume something more pressing came up which is fine. I was perfectly willing to lay around the house like a walrus all day. I yoga-ed this morning which was nice. I'm getting all nice and bendy so I'm happy. I tried watching Todd Solondz's Storytelling (I think that was the name of it). Holy CRAP, what a shitty movie. I didn't even make it a half hour. It was just boring. So I gave up in favor of mix making. Much more enjoyable that sitting around watching actors sit around and talk on the phone. Then just when you think that I couldn't be MORE of a tool, my sister and I sat around tonight for probably a little over an hour playing 6 Degrees of Buffy. Well, Pleasantville was on tonight and there's 2 characters from Buffy in it (Riley and Johnathan, for those of you keeping score at home). Then we started talking about the Buffy all-stars in Bye Bye Love (Professor Walsh, Willow's girlfriend Tara and Faith) and BOOM! Next thing you know we're trying to get from all kinds of weird ass movies to Buffy. You can link any and every movie or actor to the show, but inevitably, you end up wandering through Pleasantville.
